Tattoo Aftercare Guide (How to Heal It Properly)
Your tattoo doesn’t end when the session does — healing determines how it actually looks long-term.
Most bad tattoos aren’t bad tattoos — they’re badly healed tattoos.
1. The First 24–48 Hours
This is the most important stage. Your tattoo is an open wound — treat it properly.
- Take off the wrap as instructed
- Wash gently with lukewarm water
- Pat dry — don’t rub
- Keep it clean and breathable
Do not moisturize for 3 days (including tattoo day),
on night 3 proceed with AQUAPHOR once nightly until day 7.
On day 7 apply twice daily until fully healed.
3. Long-Term Healing (Weeks 2–4)
- Skin will settle and smooth out
- Ink will appear slightly softer
- Continue light moisturizing
Even when it looks healed — your skin is still recovering underneath.
4. What Ruins Tattoos During Healing
- Over-moisturizing
- Picking or scratching
- Direct sun exposure
- Dirty environments
Healing mistakes = faded lines, patchy areas, and long-term damage.
Want Your Tattoo to Last Longer?
Healing is only part of the equation. Placement and design matter just as much.
